Job Summary
Medication Aide (PRN) administers medications under the direction of a licensed nurse and assists residents with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include documenting and reporting observations, maintaining HIPAA/privacy compliance, completing care documentation, and ensuring proper medication administration per the service plan. The role supports residents’ dignity and independence, provides incidental household services as part of a care plan, and requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, physical ability to assist with lifting/moving, and reliable transportation for community visits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- At least six months experience in an assisted living community preferred
- United States Citizenship or evidence of a valid Alien Work Permit
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in this state
- Certified as Registered Medication Aide in this state
