Job Summary
Medication Aide distributes medications and treatments to residents and provides medical and physical care within the household. Responsibilities include supporting residents' daily living activities, promoting psychosocial well-being through relationship-building, planning and facilitating social activities, maintaining a clean, safe household environment, and assisting with personal laundry. The role emphasizes resident advocacy, documentation of services, and collaboration with the household team to meet residents’ needs and safety. Skills include medication administration, communication, teamwork, and compassionate resident-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older unless active on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide (CNA) registry
- High school diploma/equivalent required unless active on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide (CNA) registry
- Must be able to successfully complete required medication training
- Must possess the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience working with older adults preferred
- Excellent customer service
- Positive Attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of working as part of a team
