Medication Aide

Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents in accordance with state regulations, observing each resident during administration and documenting effects in medication records. Communicate concerns or observations to the Wellness Director or designated personnel and seek direction for unfamiliar treatment orders. Respond promptly to requests for PRN medications, perform regular medication cart audits to re-stock supplies and check for expired items, and maintain Standard Precautions and infection control procedures. Respect residents' rights to refuse medication, investigate refusals, and report incidents of abuse or neglect immediately. Provide social and emotional support while encouraging resident independence.
