Job Summary
Deliver high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in a cutting-edge Assisted Living Community while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Promote and protect residents' rights, treat them with dignity, and demonstrate the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions. Complete documentation in an informative manner, report all changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor immediately, and adhere to established policies and procedures. Utilize infection control precautions, operate trained equipment safely, and demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures. Maintain a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff, and attend required in-service and education programs. Work part-time on the 3rd shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course
- Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification
- Ability to express self adequately in written and oral communication
- Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families and staff members
- Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
- Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
