Job Summary
The Medication Aide is responsible for preparing, administering, and documenting medications, observing residents for reactions, and ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have completed and passed a state approved Medication Aide course
- Current medication aide permit from Texas Department of Health
- Be in good standing on Nurse Aide Registry and Nurse Assistant Misconduct Registry
- Current Certified Nurse Assistant certification in Texas
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out oral and written instructions in English
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
Desired Qualifications
- CPR certified
