Job Summary
Assist residents with medications as prescribed, receive, organize, and store meds from the pharmacy, and document all functions related to medication management per community protocols. Monitor residents for changes in condition, track vital signs, weight, and skin health, and review care plans daily to report concerns to the supervisor. Provide direct care including daily bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and assistance with activities of daily living while maintaining resident confidentiality and safety. Support admissions, transfers, and discharges, and ensure compliance with infection control and safety rules. Full-time weekend shifts available with flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma/GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Completion of the Qualified Medication Aide program with a current license based on state requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
- Willingness to adhere to assisted living principles in providing services
- Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately
- Keeps all information confidential
- Maintains acceptable attendance record/follows work schedule
- Displays cleanliness, good grooming, personal appearance and follows dress requirements consistently
- Organizes and utilizes time appropriately toward accomplishing assigned tasks
- Displays mature behavior and attitude in speech and action
- Displays ability/willingness to learn new skills and to teach others
- Interacts in professional manner with Residents, public and co-workers
- Adequate and clear English speaking and writing ability
- Ability to spend long periods on feet and to ambulate quickly
- Is free of non-treated communicable disease
- Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations
- Ability/willingness to follow all policies and procedures
- Is neat, accurate, dependable and keeps work/space clean
- Ability/willingness to work longer than eight (8) hour shift
- Ability/willingness to work holidays or overtime
- Ability/willingness to work seven (7) day schedule
- Must be able to squat, reach, stretch without distress
- Must be able to tolerate extended periods walking, standing
- Twelve (12) plus years of education
- Attendance at mandatory in-service training
- Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
- Meet in-service training hours required for job classification and position
- 18 – 24 months experience in a similar position
- CPR/First Aid certified
Desired Qualifications

- Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred
