Job Summary
Carry out ADL services and medication management for residents in accordance with their service plans and physician orders. Document daily task completion, observed condition changes, and communicate resident needs to medical professionals and families. Participate in meal service duties including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room. Manage staff under supervision during working hours while maintaining proper certifications and complying with local, state, and federal regulations including HIPAA and OSHA. Report identified quality issues to supervisors and assist in workplace injury investigations as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- one year of experience in a caregiving role or similar function
- State Required HHA Certification or CNA License
- Supervisory experience of six months or more in a health-related field
- ability to read physician orders and match to Medication Administration Records for residents
- understanding of medical terminology adequate to pass medications and communicate with medical professionals
