Job Summary
Medication Aide administers medications under the direction of a licensed nurse and provides resident care including assistance with activities of daily living, documentation, and adherence to HIPAA and facility policies. Responsibilities include dispensing medications under procedures, supervising medications per service plan, completing timely care documentation, redirection and observation within personal care plans, and ensuring resident safety and dignity. Requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and reliable transportation for community visits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in this state
- Certified as Registered Medication Aide in this state
- United States Citizenship or evidence of a valid Alien Work Permit
- At least six months experience in an assisted living community preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
