Job Summary
Process Medicare Part B cards for eligible retirees and dependents to ensure standard premium reimbursement. Review required documentation to determine eligibility for Income-Related Monthly Adjustment (IRMAA) and process complete applications accurately within established deadlines. Troubleshoot reimbursement issues by corresponding directly with retirees to resolve payment and eligibility concerns. Serve as a liaison with agencies and participating employers regarding reimbursement matters affecting retirees and their eligible dependents. Ensure compliance with program policies and maintain accurate records related to reimbursement activity. Handle an average of 12,000 new Medicare Part B applications and 17,000 IRMAA applications annually, with processing occurring between May and September to meet April and October payment deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to the first option
