Job Summary
Review and interpret preclinical and clinical research data to create scientific written materials aligned with project briefs. Synthesize clinical trial data and translate relevance for physician and consumer audiences according to client requirements. Conduct literature searches to ensure accurate medical information delivery while remaining current with medical developments. Participate in client meetings, teleconferences, and scientific meetings as required. Work with leading international pharmaceutical clients and interact with top scientists and physicians on critical therapeutic issues. Maintain complex spreadsheets and utilize advanced computer skills for assigned projects.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacology or medicine
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work to and within deadlines and to juggle multiple projects
- Strong financial, administrative and organization skills, including ability to multi-task
- 1 – 2 years of relevant experience within medical communications
- Keen attention to detail, ability to prioritize responsibilities and work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently
- Advanced computer skills, knowledge of Internet searches and Microsoft Windows software including Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PowerPoint
- Travel as needed, including weekends
