Job Summary
Lead Driver for medical waste/sharps transportation in the Denver area. Will assist the Transport Supervisor with daily operations and oversight of the driving team, train new drivers, and ensure safe collection, delivery, and storage of medical waste containers at customer locations. Operates straight trucks and tractor trailers up to 53 feet, adheres to DOT regulations, maintains schedules, manages routes, provides strong customer service, and supports loading/unloading while upholding safety and PPE standards. Requires a Class A license with a clean driving record, medical card, and preferably a Hazmat endorsement; 3 years of driving experience with large trucks; ability to work full time with potential overtime; DOT logging and roadside inspection experience; the role is based in Denver, CO (and listed hint location Shakopee, MN) with opportunities for stable, non-seasonal work.
Required Qualifications
- Class A license with a clean driving record
- Medical card
- Hazmat endorsement preferred
- 3 years of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks
- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
- Ability to lift heavy items
- Willingness to work full time hours (approx. 40/week)
