Job Summary
Unload waste from incoming vehicles, separate non-autoclavable items for incineration, and stage waste on conveyor systems or stacks for scanning. Scan waste into the Biotrack system for recordkeeping, load autoclave bins or incinerator hoppers, and place reusable containers on the tub wash line. Operate tub wash units and sprayers for oversized containers, inspecting and stacking clean tubs for vehicle loading. Decontaminate vehicle cargo areas, reload reusable tubs, and ensure no free liquid remains before informing the supervisor the vehicle is ready. Maintain housekeeping by immediately addressing spills, keeping floors dry, and removing debris. Perform other duties as assigned in a safe, productive manner within a safety-sensitive environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience, preferably in plant environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and understand and follow health and safety directives and performance and conduct standards, policies and procedures that apply to the role and location
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to push 50 lbs
- Must be able to pull 50 lbs
- Must be able to reach 50 lbs
- Must be able to grasp 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to hear
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to talk
- Must be able to work in inclement weather, heat and humidity
- Must strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols
- Must be subject to drug and alcohol testing
