Job Summary
Medical Virtual Assistant role supporting both clinical and administrative operations for opioid medication management and addiction-treatment clinic. Responsibilities include end-of-day pill calculations by reviewing PDMP records and prescription fill histories, handling nurse-line calls, documenting patient interactions and inquiries, escalating clinical concerns, processing prescription prior authorizations with insurance, assisting with prescription preloads in the prescribing software, supporting basic chart preparation and updating patient notes in the EHR, maintaining patient records, coordinating with providers and staff, and ensuring accurate documentation and HIPAA-compliant workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications & Experience: Healthcare, nursing, medical assistant, or other relevant clinical experience required
- NBI clearance/local police clearance prior onboarding
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks (ECW)
- English proficiency
- Full-time availability

- Be able to provide secure handling of PHI in HIPAA-compliant environment
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare, nursing, medical assistant, or other relevant clinical experience
- Nursing background or experience preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare workflows
- Experience using EHR/EMR systems; experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is highly preferred
- Experience working in a medical practice, clinic, or healthcare environment is preferred
- Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
- Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding
- Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
- Experience handling medication tracking and pill calculations is preferred
