Job Summary
Provide secure armed transportation and supervision of residents requiring medical appointments, hospital visits, emergency treatment, specialty care, or outside healthcare services while ensuring compliance with government detention standards, transportation procedures, and security protocols. Responsible for maintaining resident accountability, operational safety, and effective coordination with healthcare providers, detention personnel, and transportation staff during all medical transport activities. Requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, sound judgment, communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies within both secure and public healthcare environments.
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona state Armed Security license
- Minimum of one year of experience as a law enforcement officer, military policeman, or security officer engaged in detaining civil or administrative aliens
- Degree in a related field may substitute for experience
- Proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization
- DD214(s) if prior active-duty military
- Must consent to fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clean criminal record and ability to pass background check and security screening
- Ability to pass preemployment medical assessment and drug screening
- Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to pass physical requirements (standing, lifting up to 49 pounds)
- Ability to work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor)
