Job Summary
Deliver standard and experimental diagnostics, testing, and analysis for patients to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning; identify facts affecting measurements and highlight results that are abnormal or deviate from expected; analyze and verify QC data, complete required documentation, and take actions to maintain accuracy; administer tests and conduct analysis using diagnostic equipment and respond to inquiries about specimen requirements, methods, specificity and sensitivity or test results; perform procedural and technical calculations for therapies and treatment plans, simulate test analyses, and test instruments for compliance with procedures and standards; utilize specialized testing protocols, instrumentation and analytical systems, and monitor and evaluate the quality of testing; prepare and maintain records and report Quality Control, patient safety event reports, exception reports, STAT and ASAP results, and participate in education of clinical laboratory science students or staff; adhere to hospital policies and federal/state regulations and perform additional duties as assigned; Day, Night and Evening shifts available.
