Job Summary
Perform diversified duties within and in support of the assigned Laboratory Section under the direction of the Director or Designee. Conduct routine and complex analysis to produce quality, timely patient results aiding in disease diagnosis and treatment. Maintain certification as a Medical Technologist within two years of hire and ensure full vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19. Work the day shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation. This role contributes to the solvency, efficiency, and growth of Southcoast Health's Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island facilities.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent (minimum of 36 semester hours in biology and physical sciences) and up to and including one year of related work experience
- Certification as Medical Technologist such as MT (ASCP) or comparable agency approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying agencies
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- every other weekend and holiday
