MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

Conduct a variety of laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties to obtain data for disease diagnosis and treatment by following established standards. Process patient specimens during the assigned work shift, including collection, testing, processing, and reporting of accurate results. Resolve issues across the pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases while maintaining active communication with pathologists, medical staff, nursing units, and other lab personnel. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology, a required clinical internship in an MT/MLS approved program, and ASCP registration as an MT or MLS.
