Job Summary
Process daily specimens in the designated laboratory, including technical and non-technical duties, while communicating with staff physicians regarding patient samples. Collaborate with management to ensure efficient, technically correct systems and procedures, overseeing QA/QC of reagents, instrumentation, and proficiency testing. Maintain a dependable schedule adaptable to all laboratory responsibilities and staffing needs. Background, drug, and nicotine screens are required; all offers are contingent upon clear screening results and receipt of mandatory vaccinations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, molecular or related field
- Successful completion of a medical technology or related field training program
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in the designated laboratory specialty
- Laboratory license in the designated area(s)
- Dependable
- Adaptable in all aspects of laboratory responsibilities and scheduling hours
- Clear results of a thorough background screening
- Various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine
- Drug-free workplace status (subject to drug/nicotine testing)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in the designated laboratory specialty (if education is not met)
- ASCP certification
