Job Summary
Medical Technologist duties include collecting blood samples (venipuncture), handling and processing blood and urine samples, running calibrations and quality control on laboratory analyzers, reviewing and entering lab results into the electronic medical record, and performing scheduled instrument maintenance. The role will also involve training to perform vision testing, ECG, and vitals measurements, with scheduled courses for spirometry (CAOHC-certified audiometry) to perform audiograms. Work is performed in an office/lab environment with ability to lift and move as needed; U.S. citizenship proof is required. Equal Opportunity Employer. Location: Oak Ridge, TN, US.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Medical Technologist (also known as Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist).
- AS or higher and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
