Job Summary
Perform various biochemical, microscopic, blood bank, and bacteriological tests to obtain data for disease evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. Maintain licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist under the NYS Dept of Education with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science. Complete one year of internship or practical experience and demonstrate knowledge in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology. Work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school
- Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology
- One year internship at an accredited hospital or one year practical experience
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled
