Job Summary
Perform various biochemical, microscopic, blood bank, and bacteriological tests to obtain data for disease evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. Execute a variety of clinical tests while maintaining knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure, and one year of internship or practical experience. Work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school
- Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology
- One year internship at an accredited hospital or one year practical experience
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled
