Job Summary
The Medical Lab Technician performs and interprets standard, complex and specialized tests across chemical, microbiologic, immunologic, hematologic, and immunohematology disciplines; conducts instrument calibrations, maintenance, QC and troubleshooting; completes all internal and external documentation; provides administrative and technical consulting on laboratory testing; assists in training laboratory personnel and other healthcare professionals; participates in evaluating new techniques and procedures in the laboratory.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or chemical/physical/biological sciences
- ASCP certification
- ASCP certification required (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
