Job Summary
Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations pursuant to established and approved protocols of the Department of Health. Communicate regularly with laboratory personnel, supervisors, managers, hospital employees, physicians, pathologists, vendors, and regulatory or accrediting agencies. Operate computers and laboratory instruments while maintaining eye-hand coordination to grasp small objects and distinguish fine details in size, color, numbers, shades, and brightness. Frequently lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds while moving between work stations in a laboratory setting. Work in Syracuse, NY, with an hourly rate of $29 to $38.57, including $10 extra for picking up shifts and time-and-a-half weekend premiums.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to grasp small objects and perform tasks associated with eye-hand coordination
- Ability to distinguish details of objects less than a few feet away and determine and detect difference between size, color, numbers, shades, and brightness, as well as differentiate sounds
- Ability to frequently lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
