Job Summary
Perform clinical lab tests and procedures in specimen procurement, examination, and analysis, covering hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, and microbiology. Process patient specimens, analyze test results, and report findings accurately while maintaining quality control and adhering to CLIA standards. Maintain equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and prepare records for administrative and compliance purposes. Supervise Medical Lab Technicians, orient new staff, and provide continuous laboratory coverage including night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Graduate of an approved Medical Technology program with Tennessee licensure required. Full-time position with on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Medical Technology program
- Medical Technologist licensure through the State of TN within 120 Days
- Experience in patient care as obtained through completion of an approved Medical Technology program
- Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the neonate, infant, toddler, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates
- Must be able to stand constantly
- Must be able to walk constantly
