Job Summary
Perform routine and STAT laboratory testing across Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, and Hematology while collecting, processing, and preparing specimens for testing and referral. Deliver accurate and timely results by applying independent judgment in a clinical environment and serving as the primary laboratory contact for the trauma team during evening and night shifts. Coordinate workflow across departments, support quality initiatives, and maintain regulatory compliance to drive service excellence and patient satisfaction. Maintain competency and licensure across required laboratory disciplines while supporting departmental goals related to financial performance. Full-time mixed 7–10 hour shifts with evening and night assignments available.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Science
- Active Florida Medical Technologist License
- Technical competency in Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, and Hematology
- Minimum of 3–5 years of medical laboratory experience
- At least three years of experience with regular responsibility across five or more laboratory sections
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
