Job Summary
Perform all laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate, and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician, with ASCP certification preferred; obtain certification within six months if not held at hire. Requires an Associate in Science or Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science, along with over two years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate in Science or Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science
- Certification as Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Certification through ASCP
- MT (HEW) and MT(AMT) and MT(CLS)
- Certification eligible
- Certification obtained within 6 months of hire date
