Job Summary
This full-time Medical Technologist role involves processing specimens, blood sample collection, maintaining logs, and conducting quality control per established protocols within the laboratory. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent qualifications, good communication and interpersonal skills, and preferably Heartsaver/CPR certification. Additional certifications such as ASCP are advantageous. Responsibilities include participating in quality control, conducting operations on automated instruments, and upholding customer service standards in line with the Medical Center's mission.
Required Qualifications
- BSMT (Bachelor of Science + Medical Lab Technologist program)
- 90 hours + 1 year of medical technology school
- Bachelor of Science + 1 year of pertinent experience or training
- 90 hours in science + 1 year of pertinent experience or training
- Holds applicable NJ CQ as of 6/30/94 and has worked as a Medical Technologist at least 3 years since 1989
