Job Summary
Medical Technologist II in the Per Diem evening/night/weekend shift at Boston Medical Center Rapid Response Lab. Performs and interprets moderate to high complexity clinical laboratory tests in Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology under CLIA guidelines; requires Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science and relevant lab experience; ASCP preferred. Requires knowledge of clinical tests, regulatory compliance, instrument calibration, and ability to report results; strong teamwork and communication expected within a safety-net hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
- 1 year of clinical laboratory experience (if degree is in Medical Technology/CLS)
- 2 years of experience (if degree is in Chemistry/Biology/Biochemistry)
- ASCP certification strongly preferred
- Experience with bacteriology and molecular diagnostics strongly preferred
- Knowledge of CLIA standards and regulatory compliance
