Job Summary
Performs a broad range of Biochemical Genetics tests utilizing various equipment, conducts preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on lab equipment, and adheres to quality control protocols. Must demonstrate technical skills in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Urinalysis, and Microbiology, ensuring compliance with laboratory SOPs and guidelines such as CAP and GLP. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field, completion of a NACCLS accredited clinical rotation, or equivalent experience. ASCP certification is preferred and must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Successful completion of NACCLS accredited clinical rotation or 1 year clinical laboratory experience
- Eligible for certification by a nationally recognized program
Desired Qualifications
- ASCP certification preferred
