Job Summary
Perform and interpret standard and complex clinical laboratory tests across Microbiology, Urology, Hematology, Chemistry, and Blood Bank sections. Execute stat procedures in all laboratory areas while participating in quality assessment and continuous improvement activities. Adhere to safety and infection control standards and maintain a courteous, customer-focused approach aligned with Hurley Family Standards of Behavior. Exercise working supervision over lower-level employees under the direction of the Administrative Director of Clinical Laboratory and Chief Pathologist.
Required Qualifications
- Professional level of knowledge to read and interpret test results
- Knowledge of Microbiology, Urology, Hematology, Chemistry, and Blood Bank sections
- Ability to perform stat procedures in all laboratory areas
- Ability to participate in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities
- Ability to comply with safety and infection control standards
- Ability to work under the supervision of the Administrative Director of Clinical Laboratory and Chief Pathologist or designee
- Ability to exercise working supervision over lower level employees
