Medical Technologist (Full-Time) Sign-On Bonus

Job Summary
Perform testing on medical specimens, label and transport specimens to the lab, input data into the computer and report results of laboratory tests in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines. Maintain infection control and safety standards; oversee work of technicians/phlebotomists, ensure proper labeling of chemicals/biologicals, manage reagents and supplies, participate in QA and proficiency testing, and assist in departmental studies and projects. Direct interaction with medical staff and patients during specimen collection and reporting results in a timely manner; contribute to continuous education and equipment evaluation as part of the Laboratory department under the Laboratory Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) in Medical Technology or closely related sciences with credit hours meeting AMT or ASCP registry and meets Georgia requirement of a technologist as defined in DCH law Code of Georgia of a technologist Chapter 111-8-10-.06(4)(b)1-8
