Job Summary
Perform a full range of automated and manual clinical laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, bacteriology, immunohematology, and phlebotomy according to established protocols. Prepare and evaluate specimens, calibrate and maintain instruments, run quality control procedures, verify instrument operation, interpret analytical data, and report results using laboratory information systems (LIS/DMHRSi). Ensure specimen integrity and compliance with Joint Commission standards; troubleshoot and correct issues; participate in training of staff; work 4x10-hour shifts in a Tacoma, WA laboratory. Requires a Bachelor's degree in medical technology and U.S. Citizenship; BLS certification; NAACLS/ABHES or AMT-acceptable program; minimum one year clinical lab experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Medical Technology program accredited by NAACLS or ABHES or AMT-acceptable program)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- U.S. Citizenship
- One year of experience in a clinical lab as a Medical Technologist; six-month rotation through all sections of a medical laboratory during training
