Medical Technologist

Job Summary
Perform and interpret laboratory tests at all complexity levels, following established laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing; maintain quality control and instrument calibrations; document results and ensure accurate record keeping. Function as an educator and provide instruction and training in theory, technical skills, safety protocols and the application of laboratory test protocols to students, employees, residents, etc. Participate in continuing education and required annual competency assessment; comply with CLIA regulations and quality assurance requirements; manage instrument maintenance and quality control issues; rotate day/evening shifts (3:00pm-11:30pm or 11:00pm-7:30am) as a regular PRN position within the Laboratory Medicine-Diagnostics Institute. This role is available as Medical Technologist, MLT, or Lab Technician IV depending on educational background and certification status, with compensation reflecting licensure level and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
- Meets the CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing personnel grandfathering clause
