Job Summary
Conduct complex microbiological, molecular, and immunological tests on body specimens to support disease diagnosis and treatment. Verify specimen identification, prepare samples, and analyze results while interpreting abnormalities and referring data to pathologists. Calibrate equipment, manage inventory, and perform quality-control tests to ensure accuracy and compliance. Provide technical leadership by orienting and training staff on laboratory operations and resolving test inconsistencies. Manage cellular therapy products, including transport, processing, and storage between clinical sites and the laboratory. Prepare quality reports, assist with clinical trial protocols, and support inspection readiness activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- A valid Florida Medical Technologist License
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
