Medical Technologist (13 week contract)

Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens, ensuring accurate reporting with appropriate documentation. Adhere to quality control procedures by conducting instrument checks, analyzing data, troubleshooting out-of-range results, and taking corrective actions. Maintain laboratory instruments through daily, weekly, and monthly function checks and preventative maintenance while complying with safety regulations and the Laboratory Safety Plan. Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions, collect chain-of-custody urine drug screens, and perform phlebotomy duties as required. Communicate timely updates on unusual results and quality control issues to peers, supervisors, and healthcare staff. Assist with proficiency testing and data collection for regulatory compliance. May also teach new employees and students.
