Medical Technician

Communicate at shift change, complete pending assignments, and perform documented quality control with corrective action for variances. Determine specimen acceptability and priority, maintain reagent inventory, and address instrument flags before releasing results. Recognize equipment failures, call supervisors, and document critical values while cleaning workstations and disposing of specimens. Teach staff or students as assigned and cover the accessioning workstation when needed. Requires Florida license and one year of experience.
