Job Summary
Delivers quality medication administration services within the scope of practice and established company protocols. Administers medications via oral, rectal, vaginal, optic, ophthalmic, nasal, topical, transdermal, buccal, sublingual, aerosol, nebulizer, and oral metered dose inhalers; documents administration and side effects; pre-packages medications outside the medical unit; counts controlled substances with RN/LPN oversight; communicates medication concerns to RN/LPN; reports medication errors; provides safe care; takes and documents vital signs, height, and weight; assists with ECGs/EKGs; measures intake/output; schedules appointments; adheres to safety, security, and HIPAA policies; may work nights/weekends/holidays and on-call; adheres to infection control and medication storage procedures; participates in quality improvement and ongoing training; maintains competency and professional representation of CFG Health Systems, LLC.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required
- 1-2 years of CNA experience preferred
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Completion of medication certification from an accredited program
- Knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice
