Job Summary
Provide comprehensive medical-surgical care on a General Neuro Unit, managing telemetry and oximetry monitoring for patients with neurology and neurosurgical diagnoses across a young adult to geriatric population. Deliver med-surg level interventions and maintain NIHSS and EHAC certifications within the last 12 months. This 13-week travel assignment requires 12-hour day shifts, with a weekend rotation covering half the contract. Candidates must hold a Texas or compact license, possess 22 months of medical-surgical experience, and complete required pre-employment modules and labs within 48 hours of signing. Auto-offer positions require a clear response within 24 hours; no interviews are scheduled prior to offer receipt.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 22 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Experience with Epic
- Texas license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant specialty experience within the past 3 years
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- All RNs must have NIHSS and EHAC within the last 12 months
- Weekend requirement: half of contract
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
