Job Summary
Conduct Medical Surgical Unit nursing care with 36 months of experience, including 12 months in the last 36 months. Provide BLS and ACLS support during 12-hour shifts on a variable day/night schedule, primarily nights, with weekends and holidays included. Float to additional units within the clinician's skill set as required. Maintain a Hawaii license and complete pre-employment modules for onboarding. This assignment is for a 13-week travel contract starting ASAP, with a maximum of 5 days time off and specific holiday restrictions. Candidates must adhere to a 12-month gap requirement from the AMN Program - Kaiser Hawaii.
Required Qualifications
- 36 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
- Hawaii license
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: AMN Program - Kaiser Hawaii and no current placement allowed at Program: AMN Program - Kaiser Hawaii
- 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: AMN Program - Kaiser Hawaii and no current placement allowed at Program: AMN Program - Kaiser Hawaii
- 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: AMN Program - Kaiser Hawaii and no current placement allowed at Program: AMN Program - Kaiser Hawaii
- 1-year break between staff and travel for all Kaiser facilities
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM; variable day/night schedule, primarily nights; weekends and holidays included
- This position is subject to floating to units within the clinician's skill set
- 5 days maximum time off
- Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027
- Number of holidays allowed off: 1
