Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day care for medical surgical patients in a 12-hour shift, managing telemetry patients monitored on a separate unit. Provide direct patient care with nurse aides serving as sitters at a 1:8 to 1:10 ratio. Float to acute care and cardio units to manage medical patients or acute care patient holds. Maintain a 12-month experience requirement with 12 months in the last 36 months, including travel experience. Submit only if residing over 75 miles from the facility and hold a Georgia or compact license. Work every other weekend with holidays as needed, adhering to a 14-day maximum time off limit.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years)
- Travel experience
- Georgia license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job
- 14 days maximum time off
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Must live at least 75 miles from the facility address listed on the driver's license
- Must be able to float to all acute care and cardio to take care of medical patients, or EC for acute care patient holds
- Must be available for every other weekend
- Must be available for holidays as needed
- Must be able to live >75 miles from facility
