Job Summary
Conduct medical surgical unit care with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, rotating weekends and holidays as staffing needs arise. Maintain 36 months of total experience, including 12 months in medical surgical units and 12 months of travel nursing. Utilize Epic systems and hold current BLS and NIHSS certifications. Candidates must hold an Iowa or compact license, live over 60 miles from the facility, and provide two manager/supervisor references. This 13-week travel assignment starts ASAP with a maximum of 14 days time off.
Required Qualifications
- 36 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- 12 months of travel experience
- 3 months of Epic experience
- Iowa license or compact license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Must be able to float to additional units and locations
- Must live >60 miles from facility
- 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: University of Iowa Hospitals (Direct) Program - Main
- No current placement allowed at Program: University of Iowa Hospitals (Direct) Program - Main
- Must be available for weekends and holidays to fill staffing needs
