Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on the Medical Surgical Unit, caring for post-op bariatric and colorectal surgical patients alongside general med/surg cases. Float to multiple units as needed while maintaining a New York license and 12 months of relevant experience, including recent Medical Surgical Unit tenure. Utilize Epic systems and hold current BLS certification. This 13-week travel assignment requires every other weekend scheduling with a 14-day maximum time off allowance, starting August 2026. Candidates must have travel experience and no current placement at Crouse Health's Supplemental Program.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Travel experience
- Experience with Epic
- New York license
- 1+ year of current med surg experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Every other weekend
- 14 days maximum time off
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Desired Qualifications
- Bariatric/colorectal post-op experience preferred
