Job Summary
Conduct Medical Surgical nursing duties including chest tube management, tracheal care, drain maintenance, wound vacs, IVs, PCAs, and IVABX administration. Float between multiple units, including ICU for Med Surg level patients and ED as tasking or helping hands. Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6 during days and 1:6-7 at nights. Work 12-hour shifts, three times weekly, with weekend rotation every other week and no call requirement. Holiday coverage is 2 out of 4 as needed. This 13-week travel assignment requires a Maine license, 24 months of Med Surg experience, and 12 months total nursing experience with 3 months in the last year.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Maine license or compact license
- 36 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Northern Light

- 2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
- License should not expire within 45 days following start date
Desired Qualifications
- 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred
- No required to read and interpret cardiac strips, but it is preferrable
