Job Summary
Charge RN nights on a medical-surgical unit with dedicated CNA support and a 1:30 virtual nurse ratio. Manage common patient populations including medical, surgical, and orthopedic cases, utilizing the dyad model and available tele/RT support. Float to PCU or Burn units as needed. Work 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, three times per week, with weekends and holidays as needed but no call. Maintain a 1:6 to 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years)
- Nebraska license or compact license
- Live >50 miles from facility
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health
- 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health
- 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health
- No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health
- Pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation; must receive 90% to pass
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)
- Weekends as needed
- Holidays as needed
- Float to PCU or Burn
- Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Driver's license required for submission
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
