Job Summary
Conduct Medical Surgical Unit care in a critical access setting as a Swing RN, working night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with every other weekend rotation. Provide 12-hour shifts three times weekly for a 13-week assignment, starting within 14 days. Maintain a 50-mile radius from the facility, hold an Iowa or compact license, and possess ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and BLS certifications. Float to additional units and locations as needed while adhering to specific gap and prior employment restrictions.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years
- Iowa license or compact license
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health
- 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health
- No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health
- Candidates must live >50 miles from facility
- Travel only, local not allowed
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained
- 50-mile radius rule
- Driver's license
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Epic is preferred
- ED experience preferred
