Job Summary
Provide direct patient care on an inpatient rehab unit for adult and geriatric patients with stroke, SCI, amputee, and neurological conditions including MS and Parkinson's. Manage common drips such as antibiotics and anticoagulation while maintaining patient ratios of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Float to Medical Surgical units as needed and adhere to a 12-hour night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Maintain a 1:10 to 1:15 nurse aide-to-patient ratio and support a cyclic self-scheduling schedule with minimum every third weekend off. Submit to a Nebraska license with a Basic Life Support certification and a driver's license required for submission.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years)
- Nebraska license or compact license

- Pass/fail open-book exam during orientation on Friday on skills learned; must receive a 90% to pass
