Job Summary
Conduct night shifts on a general surgical unit covering general surgery, colorectal, elective weight loss surgery, urology, spinal, thoracic, trauma, ortho-trauma, endocrine, and occasional medical overflow. Maintain 12 months of experience with 3 months in the last 12 months and 60 months of medical surgical experience within the last 36 months. Hold a Massachusetts license, provide proof of identification, and submit a charge/lead reference from the last 12 months. Complete BLS certification and COVID vaccination requirements. Work 12-hour shifts three times weekly with a maximum of seven days off, adhering to facility holidays. Submit certifications and health documents to expedite onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 60 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- Massachusetts license
- Live >90 miles from facility
- COVID vaccination
- No current placement at Program: AMN Program - Baystate Health
- Float experience does not count toward the unit experience requirement
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
