Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on the Medical Surgical Unit, working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Maintain a minimum of 12 months of experience with 24 months in Medical Surgical, including recent work within the last year. Submit with a Kansas or compact license, BLS, NIHSS, and MAB certifications, and pass required onboarding assessments including Ascension Core Competencies, EKG, and Cerner. Maintain a six-month employment gap prior to submission and provide two charge/lead references. Current Ascension employees and those with recent placements are ineligible.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Kansas license or compact license
- Local & travel allowed
- 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main
- 6 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main
- 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main
- Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles
- Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position
- In order to receive travel rate, clinician's claimed residence must match address on driver's license
- Driver license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license
- Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed
- Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed
- Ascension Cerner Test-Out required during onboarding
- Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations
- 2 Charge/Lead references required
- Driver's license required for submission
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior )
