Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on the Medical Surgical Unit at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, rotating between staff and floating to all Med/Surg departments under Maya Sandoval. Provide 12-hour shifts three times weekly, with weekend rotations of two to four shifts per month. Maintain a New Mexico or compact license, hold BLS and NIHSS certifications, and demonstrate 12 months of acute care and medical surgical experience within the last year. Submit a clear acceptance response within 24 hours to secure the auto-offer assignment without an initial interview.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- 12 months of acute care experience
- New Mexico license or compact license
- Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained
- Weekend requirement: 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated between staff
- On-call not required but may be asked if census rises
- Will float to all Med/Surg departments under Maya Sandoval
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
