Job Summary
Conduct general medical-surgical unit care on a stroke and neuro-designated floor with remote telemetry, managing a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio during 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Provide Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support, utilizing NIH Stroke Scale assessments as needed. Maintain a Virginia or compact license, hold a driver's license, and submit all time off requests through the application system. This auto-offer position requires a clear response within 24 hours and includes a maximum of 10 days off per assignment.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months
- 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months
- Virginia license or compact license
- Must be able to float to additional units and locations
- Must live >50 miles from facility
- No current placement at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Capital Division
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
